The Name

"Genla" means teacher in Tibetan— a guide who illuminates the path forward.

About

Genla is a free, adaptive learning platform designed specifically for Tibetan children in diaspora communities worldwide. The platform helps students excel in their adopted countries while remaining deeply connected to Tibetan heritage and values.

The project emerged from a simple question: how can children succeed academically while staying rooted in Buddhist values and Tibetan identity? After six months of intensive development, Genla launched as a comprehensive educational platform that bridges this gap.

Adaptive Learning

Rather than assigning students to broad grade levels, Genla uses adaptive assessment algorithms to identify specific knowledge gaps and create personalized learning paths. Each student receives instruction tailored to their individual needs, allowing them to progress at their own pace while ensuring comprehensive understanding.

Always Free

Genla is completely free, funded by the founder's family. This reflects a commitment to educational equity across economically diverse diaspora communities—ensuring that every Tibetan child, regardless of family circumstances, has access to quality education that honors their heritage.
